Privacy
Last updated 27 October 2026Woboo is for sharing what you're doing right now with a small crew of close friends. We collect as little as we can to make that work, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account: your name, username, profile photo, and the ID from Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only see the relay address.
- Moments: what you go live with: the activity, text, duration and who can see it.
- Place (optional): nothing, your city, a place name, or a live location until you meet. Live location is shared only with friends you accept and is deleted when the moment ends. Your home location is stored only on your phone and is never shared. People under 18 can share their city only.
- Crew: who you're friends with, close-friend choices, join requests, reactions and knocks.
- Device: push and Live Activity tokens, so we can send alerts.
- Safety: reports and blocks you make, plus a snapshot of the reported content for review.
We don't collect phone numbers, contacts, advertising IDs or background location.
How long we keep it
Moments fade from your crew after 12 hours and are deleted from our servers soon after. Live locations are deleted when the moment ends. Reports are kept as long as we need them for safety. When you delete your account in the app (You → Delete account), your profile, moments, crew and photos are erased.
Who can see it
Only the friends you choose. Database rules enforce this on every request, so not even other Woboo users can query your data. Blocked people can't see you, find you or add you.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database, hosted in the EU), Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging (alerts), Expo (app updates and push delivery) and Cloudflare (website and email). They process data only to run Woboo.
Your rights
You can see and change your data in the app, delete your account at any time, or email us to get a copy of your data or to ask a question. Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have extra rights. We honour them for everyone.
Children
Woboo isn't for children under 13. If you think a child under 13 is using it, report them in the app or email us, and we'll remove the account.
